Our Logo
Our club's emblem is the Willy Wagtail, a plucky and energetic native flycatcher which uses a combination of body language and vocal variety to communicate effectively.
Like any competent Toastmaster, the Willy Wagtail utilises amazing vocal variety, from a beautiful bell-like song which some ornithologists translate as, "Sweet pretty little creature," to the classic, "Djidi-djidi!" scold, to a high pitched chitter, and its use of body language – the classic wagging of that beautiful black tail – is graceful and effective.
A brave, articulate and appealing little Australian, the Willy Wagtail makes an ideal Subiaco Early Bird.
